Rakeback

Rakeback is one of the few casino rewards where the formula matters more than the marketing. It usually returns a small part of the casino’s theoretical margin or your eligible wagering activity. That sounds technical, but the player question is simple: how much comes back, when, and can you withdraw it?
I like rakeback when it updates clearly in the account and does not need a support ticket to explain. I get wary when the casino only says “earn rewards every day” and hides the math.

How rakeback differs from cashback
Cashback is often based on net losses. Rakeback is usually tied to betting volume, house edge or a reward-point formula. That means a winning session can still generate rakeback at some casinos, while ordinary cashback may not.
The difference matters because high-volume players can overvalue rakeback. A small return does not cancel the house edge. It only reduces the cost a little.

Instant, daily and weekly rakeback
Instant rakeback feels best because you see the reward quickly. Daily rakeback is still easy to follow. Weekly rakeback can be fine, but it gives the casino more room for manual review, expiry rules or tier conditions.
The cleanest setup shows the balance, formula and claim button in the account. If the casino makes you guess which games count, the reward is weaker.

What can make rakeback worse
The reward can be paid as bonus credit instead of cash. Wagering can apply. Some games can count less or not at all. VIP level can change the percentage. Withdrawals or bonus use can reset the calculation. None of that is automatically unfair, but it should be written clearly.
I would not chase rakeback with bigger bets. If the game was not worth playing before the reward, a tiny percentage back does not fix it.
